Pastor Michael Shirley’s journey in ministry is deeply rooted, as his parents themselves served as pastors. His upbringing has provided him with a profound understanding of the inner workings of the church, yet he recognizes that true guidance comes from a higher source, leaning upon the Lord. This unique combination distinguishes Pastor Shirley and sets him apart, making him more than just a senior pastor.

His calling to preach the gospel came at the tender age of 21, and by 24, he embarked on his pastoral journey. Under the guidance of the Church of God, he received training and discipleship, ultimately attaining the status of an Ordained Bishop in 2012. Alongside his practical experience, Pastor Shirley holds a Bachelor of Science in Bible & Theology from Lee University and a Master of Divinity from Pentecostal Theological Seminary.

Pastor Shirley’s personal life also has a touching story. He first crossed paths with his beloved wife during a South Carolina Church of God state camp meeting when they were both teenagers. Their union in 2004 marked the beginning of a partnership that has proven indispensable to their ministry. Together, they wholeheartedly dedicate themselves to advancing the Kingdom of God, each contributing their unique talents. Sister Shirley’s musical and worship leadership abilities create an atmosphere that sets the stage for Pastor Shirley to deliver the Word of God. The couple’s family also includes two wonderful sons, Joshua Aiden and William Henry.

In October 2017, Pastor Shirley, guided by a deep connection to the Holy Ghost, was led to the Enoree Church of God as the Senior Pastor. Their leadership is characterized by love and understanding, fostering a sense of unity within the congregation.
